Administrative Offices

Director's Office
The Office of the Director, with the advice of the Mental Health Commission, is responsible for the overall operations of the Department of Mental Health, its three clinical divisions and four support offices, 27 facilities, and central office. The director's duties include planning, supervising, and evaluating the provision of mental services for Missourians with mental disorders, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse.

Deputy Director's Office
The Office of the Deputy Director oversees the department's legal services and human resources. The Office also provides oversight to internal and external audit services related to compliance, financial, and performance reviews; the department's cultural competency plan; services for the deaf and hard of hearing;Medicaid; and fatality review panel.

Office of Administration
The Office of Administration, headed by the department's Deputy Director for Administration, provides a range of administrative and financial services to help the department achieve effective consumer results.

Office of Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of human resources policies, procedures, and functions, including but not limited to compensation, classification, labor relations, safety, discipline, and federal regulatory compliance.

Information Technology Services Division
The Information Technology Services Division is responsible for the development, operation, and coordination of the department's computer information systems. These include clinical systems as well as financial and administrative applications.

Office of Public Affairs
The Office of Public Affairs disseminates information to the public concerning mental health programs and services and helps promote the people, programs, and services of the department through regular publications and television and radio programs. The office also provides support services, technical assistance, and training to the department's divisions, offices, and facilities.

Office of Transformation
The Office of Transformation in the Missouri Department of Mental Health was established to address concerns regarding the state's mental health service delivery system.
