BHC dieticians are considered to be important members of each individual's planning team. Each individual receives a nutritional evaluation at least once a year. This evaluation is used to determine if the individual has special dietary needs. If so, the dietician's recommendations become part of the PCP. Recommendations may include a special diet for weight gain or loss, or a special diet for a medical condition such as diabetes. the dietary department also prepares special food and treats for birthdays, religious holidays, and other special occasions. |
