The social service department serves the ladies and gentlemen who reside at BHC in the following ways:

	Serve as an advocate.
	Uphold legal and human rights.
	Assist in admissions, discharges and community transition placements.
	Determine eligibility in Medicaid and Social Security Benefits.
	Serve on the Human Rights Committee.
	Secure needed guardianship or changes in guardians.
	Work with parents/guardians in resolving concerns.

Work with staff in helping meet the needs of the individuals who reside at BHC.
