QMRP RESOURCE GUIDE

The DMRDD "Working Together for Health & Safety" webpage has been launched and is now available for provider access.  This is an initiative to offer more information on health and safety topics and provide accessible resources to the providers and their nurses including our current manuals and forms utilized by them for the Medication Aide Certification.  Community RN Program, and Health Reference Manual with HIPS.  It is a resource for our staff as well.

We plan to continue to expand the site as we can convert available forms and manuals on line.  Please share any suggestions or comments you have.

Missouri Mental Health Task Force
Launches Web Site

www.dmh.mo.gov/mmhtaskforce

Jefferson City- The Missouri Mental Health Task Force announced today the establishment of an interactive web site to provide information and obtain public input from families, guardians, providers, and other interested persons.

“Our responsibility is to obtain input from those who are interested in these critical issues,” said Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder, Co-Chairman of the task force. “We are charged with discovering what reforms or changes are needed to ensure that we are fulfilling our duties to these vulnerable individuals.”

The web site www.dmh.mo.gov/mmhtaskforce includes an on-line comment form that individuals can access and submit electronically to Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder. Information on contacting the task force by phone, regular mail, and fax is also available.

“As we study ways to improve our investigation process and oversight responsibilities we need to know those issues that are important to the parents and guardians as well as the service providers,” said Ron Dittemore, interim director of the Department of Mental Health. “These comments are critical for the task force as it develops and reports its recommendations to the Governor.”

The Mental Health Task Force was created by Governor Matt Blunt to oversee a cross-agency effort following the deaths of several clients in state-operated and private mental health facilities.
