Office of Cultural Competency
In 2002, the Department updated and revised its cultural competency plan which can be reviewed by going to the DMH web site at www.dmh.mo.gov/diroffice/cultaffairs/multicomp.htm. The DMH Cultural Competency Plan analyses the states' demographics and identifies four goals related to cultural competency, prevention, minority mental health care disparities, and cultural diversity. The Departments' Affirmative Action Plan is also embedded in the DMH Cultural Competency Plan (pdf).
