The Office of Legislative Liaison is responsible for the review and analysis of state and federal legislation that pertains to services provided by the Department of Mental Health. The legislative liaison represents the Department director in communications with the Governor's Office and members of the General Assembly, monitors the progress of bills and other legislative activities, and provides legislative information to Department staff, the Mental Health Commission, and the Department's state and regional advisory councils.
