DEVELOPMENTAL ASSISTANT I
The Developmental Assistant I is responsible for providing direct support for people with developmental disabilities. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing and carrying out individual or group active treatment plans and assisting in developing and teaching living skills related to self-help, education, recreation, and socialization, etc. Must complete Client Attendant Trainee Orientation Session and six months probation as a Client Attendant Trainee.
HABILITATION SPECIALIST I
This professional level position is responsible for the supervision of the implementation of personal plans written for individual with developmental disability. The professional works very closely with other professional and non-professional staff in developing and implementing support plans that enhance the physical, emotional, mental and behavioral well-being, for the individuals being supported. Minimum experience and training qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with major specialization in elementary/secondary education, early childhood education, psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, recreation, Speech-language pathology or audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or other specialties in the field of human services.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE I (LPN I)
This professional level position is responsible care and treatment of clients at the Higginsville Habilitation Center. Possession of a current license to practice as a practical nurse in Missouri. Applicants graduating from an accredited school of practical nursing will be tentatively accepted pending successful completion of the examination for licensure given by the State Board of Nursing.
