The State of Missouri, through various departments, offers several services that may provide background information on caregivers, including:
- State criminal background checks, conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol;
- Child abuse/neglect records, maintained by the Family Support Division;
- Family Foster Care Licensing records, maintained by the Family Support Division;
- The Employee Disqualification List, maintained by the Department of Health and Senior Services;
- The Disqualified Registry, maintained by the Department of Mental Health;
- Child Day Care licensing records, maintained by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
- Family Care Safety Registry
All of these records are now available through a single, centralized request form.
