History
The 69-bed mental health center was built in 1967 adjacent to the west wing of the University of Missouri Hospital. The three adult inpatient psychiatric units provided short-term intensive care for individuals 18 years and older. Children’s services included inpatient and partial hospitalization to children ages 6 to 18 years.

Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center is closing effective June 30, 2009.
