    Specialized Treatment Services

    The Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center's interdisciplinary treatment teams provide or arrange for the provision of all necessary routine medical/psychiatric services, specialized assessments, and therapeutic services necessary to meet the needs of all patients at the Center.

    Through a contractual arrangement with the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, which is physically adjacent to the Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center, the following services are provided:

    1. Pharmaceutical
    2. X-ray
    3. EKG
    4. EEG
    5. Physical therapy
    6. Respiratory therapy
    7. Special medical consultations
    8. Special psychiatric consultation

    A contract has been established with Boyce & Bynum Laboratories in Columbia, Missouri for all laboratory services.  Dietary and Dental services are provided through a inter-agency agreement with Fulton State Hospital. 

    Educational services including educational assessments and specialized educational programming are provided for by MMMHC's education staff.  All educational services are provided in accordance with MMMHC policy and procedures and adhere to all provisions of Public Law 94-142, The Education of All Handicapped Children Act of 1975.  Educational services are rendered in conjunction with the child's interdisciplinary treatment team to educate the child in the least restrictive educational environment possible, including the possibility of mainstreaming the patient into a specialized or regular public school setting.
