Visitation
Monday – Friday: 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Last visitors will be escorted from the visiting room at 8:00 p.m.)
Weekends and Holidays: 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Last visitors will be escorted from the visiting room at 5:00 p.m.)
- All visitors must register with the Operator.
- All visitors’ property, including purses, cell phones and unapproved packages, must be secured in their vehicle or in a locker prior to visitation. Visitors may bring food items upon approval.
- All visitors are subject to use of a metal detector.
- It is recommended that visitors arrive not less than 30 minutes prior to the end of visiting hours to allow time for security checks and occassional waits due to visiting room capacity.
- Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Adults
- Visitation in the visiting room will begin and end on the half hour to allow for escorts within the building. In order for us to accommodate all patient visitors, visits may need to be restricted in duration to no less than 20 minutes.
- Patients are allowed two visitors at a time.
- Children under the age of 17 are not allowed to visit without special permission. Children cannot be left unattended in the visitor waiting room or other areas of the hospital.
- Requests for visitation outside of established visiting hours may be made to the Chief Nurse Executive office.
- Visitors may visit up to one hour on the Children’s unit.
- Visiting on the children’s unit will be determined by the children’s unit staff.
- Children visiting on the Children's unit must be accompanied by an adult.
