KATHY'S KORNER

Welcome!

I began working at the Rolla Regional Office in 2000 when Quality Management Registered Nurses (QMRN) were hired at all Regional Offices. Since that time, the QMRN's have developed:

  • Analysis of health and safety practices and identification of issues in service delivery in community services statewide.
  • Establishment of statewide priorities.
  • Development of statewide responses.
  • Developed an inventory tool to identify health conditions being supported in community placement statewide.
  • Established a score threshold that identified the population that would receive a nursing review (health audit) by the Quality Management RN.
  • Established a Nursing Review (health audit) to be completed for identified population resulting in intervention planning based on consumer needs and their urgency.
  • Established a plan for collection of statewide data for trend analysis resulting in continuous service improvement.
  • Established standardization of Medication Aide Training Requirements and Statewide Registry.

Quality Management Registered Nurses work out of the Regional Offices. QMRN's act as Nursing Consultants, provide education/training, coordinate and monitor programs related to consumer health and safety. Click here to visit our web site.
