Welcome, visitor, to Western Missouri Mental Health Center.  We want to take a moment to orient you to our hospital.

    Our visiting hours are:

                1:30pm to 3:00pm and

                6:30pm to 8:00pm  every day

We know that the individual you are here to visit may have asked you to bring items to him/her.  Please carefully read the following in order to know what is and is not allowed, and to understand why.

Western Missouri Mental Health Center wants our patients to be comfortable, but also as safe as possible.

You may bring the following to  the units:

**We do not allow for  “open containers”  (i.e.  soda from restaurants, open   bottles/cans of beverage).

For safety and treatment purposes, we DO NOT ALLOW:

Cigarettes, lighters matches, weapons (or materials which could be used as weapons), spiral notebooks, tape recorders, audio/video  tapes, cameras, TV’s electrical appliances, aerosol cans, glass containers, sharp/pointed objects, short-shorts, cut-out tank tops, heavy shoes/boots, sunglasses.

    MEDICINES:

If the person you are visiting has asked you to bring in medicines, please coordinate this with his/her  Doctor or Nurse.   This is a treatment decision to be made, and the patient will not be allowed to keep them in his/her possession.

    CHILDREN:

Individuals must be 16 years or older to visit on the units.  Our Security staff cannot

watch younger children in the lobby.  Please do not bring younger children to the facility, for their safety.  Thank you!

We thank you for your caring for the patients in our facility.  We also thank you for your cooperation in our efforts to provide safe and effective treatment.
